Regular Season Round 24: DongGuan L. - Shandong FB 95-89

Very predictable result when fourth ranked DongGuan Leopards (15-8) won against at home 13th ranked Shandong Bulls (9-14) 95-89 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 53-46 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Nigerian-American guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 4 assists. American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Liberian-American forward Othello Hunter (203-86, college: Ohio St., agency: David Lee services) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and forward Ding Yanyuhang (200-93) added 16 points in the effort for Shandong Bulls. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Loser Shandong Bulls keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. DongGuan Leopards will face bottom-ranked Foshan (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shandong Bulls will play against Fujian SBS XunXin (#8) in Jinjiang.
