No shocking result in a game in Winnipeg where leader Regina (10-0) outleveled 11th ranked Manitoba (3-8) 84-60 on Friday. The game without a history. Regina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 23 Manitoba turnovers. It was a great evening for Polish guard Joanna Zalesiak (174-88, college: UTEP) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. International swingman Lindsay Ledingham (183-90) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Regina players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Allison Balasko (180) with 9 points and 7 rebounds and forward Mubo Ilelaboye (180-89) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Regina. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Manitoba lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Regina will have a break next round. Manitoba will play again at home against the league's leader Regina (#1).
