Not a big story in a game in Kingston where bottom-ranked RMC (0-11) was defeated by fifth ranked York (6-6) 54-50 on Friday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Strangely RMC outrebounded York 48-31 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Llyandra Kerr (175) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Brittany Szockyj (170) helped adding 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Sandy Edmison (183) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 25 rebounds and forward Abby Edmison (188) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. York maintains fifth place with 6-6 record. RMC lost their eleventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with 11 games lost. York will face higher ranked Queen's in Kingston in the next round. RMC will play at home against Laurentian (#7) in Greater Sudbury and hopes to get finally their first victory.
