Regular Season Round 16: Parnu - Valga 83-84

The most exciting game of round 16 in the KML took place in Parnu. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th ranked KK Parnu (2-13) to eighth ranked Valga/CKE (3-13) 84-83 in the game for the seventh place. KK Parnu was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of Valga/CKE, which allowed them to win the game. Latvian guard Reinis Strupovics (192-87) fired 27 points and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Antti Vasar (195-79) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Center Toomas Raadik (202-90) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Rannar Raap (188-92) added 27 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four KK Parnu players scored in double figures. Valga/CKE moved-up to seventh place. KK Parnu lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Valga/CKE are looking forward to face higher ranked BC Rakvere (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KK Parnu will play against the league's leader Tartu Ulikool (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
