An interesting game for Vikies (10-2) which hosted in Victoria, BC 4th placed Cascades (7-5). First ranked Vikies had an easy win 91-67. The game without a history. Vikies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Vikies looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Guard Zac Andrus (180) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 9 assists. Guard Ryan Mackinnon (193-89) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Vikies players scored in double figures. Forward Kyle Grewal (198-88) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Joel Friesen (193) added 13 points in the effort for Cascades. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vikies maintains first place with 10-2 record, which they share with Laurier and Lakehead. Loser Cascades dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
