There was no surprise in Szczecin where 8th ranked Wilki Morskie (6-8) was crushed by fifth ranked Zuraw Gniewno (8-6) 94-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Zuraw Gniewno led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Wilki Morskie to just 7 points in third quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zuraw Gniewno made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Pawel Pawlowski (198-82) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Swingman Bartosz Kobus (195-83) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Four Zuraw Gniewno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Igor Trela (206-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Radoslaw Bojko (196-91) added 19 points and 4 steals respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zuraw Gniewno maintains fifth place in Group A with 8-6 record. Newly promoted Wilki Morskie keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Zuraw Gniewno will face league's leader Open Florentyna in Pleszew in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wilki Morskie will play on the road against AZS PP Poznan (#4) in Pozoan.
