The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Charleville-Mezieres (13-3) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by seventh ranked Orchesien BC (10-6) 102-79. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Charleville-Mezieres. The game without a history. Orchesien BC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Charleville-Mezieres' 28. Orchesien BC forced 19 Charleville-Mezieres turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Orchesien BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Djordje Petrovic (202-84) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Antoine Belkessa (185-88) who added 22 points during the contest. Four Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. Orchesien BC's coach Philippe Namyst felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Cyril Guillarme (206-84) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American-British power forward Tafari Toney (203-86, agency: JEMsports) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Orchesien BC moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Blois and Sorgues. Charleville-Mezieres at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Orchesien BC is looking forward to face Sorgues (#6) at home in the next round. Charleville-Mezieres will play against Cognac (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
