Important game to mention about took place in Le Puy en Velay. Sixteenth ranked Le Puy ASMB (4-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Roche (9-7) 66-65 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Le Puy ASMB shot 22 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Roche only scored six points from the stripe. Roche was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by center Steeve Borval (202-87) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and guard Adrien Daube (193-89) supported him with 18 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by forward Aurelien Toto N'Kote (194-79) did not help to save the game for Roche. Guard Roderick Pegon (199-77) added 10 points for lost side. Le Puy ASMB maintains sixteenth position with 4-12 record. Roche at the other side dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Brest and Challans. Le Puy ASMB will play against CFBB (#17) in Paris in the next round. Roche will play at home against Rueil (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
