LFB top team - Challes-les-Eaux (13-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Lyon (5-11) 73-58. Challes-les-Eaux made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American center Mistie Mims (191-83, college: Duke) who scored that evening 28 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Danielle Page (188-86, college: Nebraska) supported her with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Challes-les-Eaux's coach Aldo Corno allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by naturalized Senegalese forward Mame-Marie Sy-Diop (185-85) did not help to save the game for Lyon. Turkish power forward Leigh Aziz (186-79, college: Syracuse) added 9 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Challes-les-Eaux maintains first position with 13-3 record, which they share with Lattes Montp. Newly promoted Lyon dropped to the twelfth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Aix-en-Provence. Challes-les-Eaux will play against Mondeville (#4) on the road in the next round. Lyon will play against Bourges (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
