Regular Season Round 15: Voiron - Dunkerque 83-66

The game in Voiron supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th placed Dunkerque (9-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Etoile de Voiron (9-6). Etoile de Voiron did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 83-66 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dunkerque. The game without a history. Etoile de Voiron led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Etoile de Voiron forced 22 Dunkerque turnovers and outrebounded them 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Etoile de Voiron made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for guard Faeza Bouderra (165-82, college: FIU) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 assists. Senegalese power forward Khadidiatou Gassama (186-75) accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five Etoile de Voiron players scored in double figures. Latvian power forward Dace Brumermane (187-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) came up with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Ukrainian center Taisiia Bovykina (190-89, agency: LBM Management) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Dunkerque in the defeat. Etoile de Voiron moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Dunkerque. Etoile de Voiron will meet Armentieres (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dunkerque will play against Roche (#4) in La Roche and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
