Very important is a home loss of third ranked Handlopex AZS (8-5) against eighth ranked Wisla AWF Kr. (7-7) on Sunday night. Host Handlopex AZS was defeated by Wisla AWF Kr. in Rzeszow 78-67. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla AWF Kr.. Handlopex AZS managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla AWF Kr. made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 28 Handlopex AZS turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Grzegorz Radwan (200-80) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Jakub Dwernicki (180-86) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was guard Jakub Musijowski (175-87) with 15 points and 7 assists and power forward Marek Osiniak (200-80) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Handlopex AZS players scored in double figures. Handlopex AZS's coach Mariusz Michalczyk rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Wisla AWF Kr. moved-up to sixth place in Group C, which they share with Novum Lublin and Unia Tarnow. Loser Handlopex AZS keeps the third position with five games lost. Wisla AWF Kr. will meet at home higher ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Handlopex AZS will play against Novum Lublin and hope to secure a win.
