Regular Season Round 15: Soleuvre - Basket Esch 89-93

Another exciting game was played in Belvaux between sixth ranked Basket Esch and 7th ranked Soleuvre where Basket Esch (8-7) beat Soleuvre (7-8) on the road 93-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Soleuvre. Soleuvre was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Basket Esch shot 63.6 percent from the field. It was a good game for American forward David Reichel (203-84, college: CS San Bernar.) who led his team to a victory with 30 points. Slovakian power forward Stefan Svitek (203-77) contributed with 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American Lamonte Ulmer (198-86, college: Rhode Island) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and guard Michel Weyland (180-81) added 20 points in the effort for Soleuvre. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Basket Esch moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Etzella and Musel Pikes. Soleuvre at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Residence. Basket Esch will play against Etzella (#6) in Ettelbruck in the next round. Soleuvre will play at home against Musel Pikes in Stadrbredimus and hopes to get back on the winning track.
