Regular Season Round 19: Treviglio - Santarcangelo 60-62

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Santarcangelo (5-14) edged on the road 3rd placed Treviglio (11-8) 62-60 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 16-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Santarcangelo outrebounded Treviglio 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for center Andrea Ancellotti (212-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Giorgio Broglia (198-86) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side center Jacopo Borra (212-90) responded with 9 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Gabriele Zanella (204-81) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted Santarcangelo maintains sixth place with 5-14 record. Treviglio at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Santarcangelo will face higher ranked Fabriano (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Treviglio will play against the league's second-placed Bari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
