There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (4-8) beat at home 8th ranked Elitzur Netanya (4-7) 82-71. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ashdod. Elitzur Netanya was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Elitzur Netanya's 28. American players dominated the game. Guard Ramel Bradley (188-85) fired 20 points for the winners. Power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Maccabi Ashdod's coach Ofer Berkovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) produced 27 points and 4 assists and forward Brian Asbury (200-86, college: Miami, FL) added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Maccabi Ashdod moved-up to ninth place. Elitzur Netanya at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Maccabi Ashdod will have a break next round.
