Very expected game when 15th ranked Olimpico de La Banda (3-10) lost to eighth ranked Quimsa (7-7) in Santiado Estero 61-71. Olimpico de La Banda was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Diego Lo Grippo (198-78) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward James Williams (204-79, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Dream Team Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. American forward John DeGroat (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import center DeVon Hardin (211-86) added 7 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. Quimsa moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Boca Jrs and Regatas C. Olimpico de La Banda at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Quimsa's next round opponent will be higher ranked Sionista (#5) in Parana and it may be quite challenging game. Olimpico de La Banda will play on the road against La Union (#10) in Formosa.
