An interesting game took place in Piacenza where higher ranked Morpho Basket (8-6) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Fileni BPA (7-8) 91-67. The game without a history. Fileni BPA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. It was a very good performance for American guard Richard McConnell (182-89, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!). The other American import forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) replied with 17 points and American guard Clint Cotis Harrison (194-76, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Court Side) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Morpho Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fileni BPA moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Tezenis Verona. Newly promoted Morpho Basket dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Fileni BPA's next round opponent will be Tezenis Verona (#9) at home.
