Regular Season Round 25: Qingdao E. - Xinjiang FT 115-97

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eleventh ranked Qingdao Double Star (11-13) defeated at home 10th ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (11-11) 115-97. The game without a history. Qingdao Double Star led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Nigerian-British power forward Olumide Oyedeji (208-81) contributed with 7 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American swingman Tim Pickett (193-81, college: Florida St.) answered with 24 points and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and the other American import forward Gani Lawal (206-88, college: Georgia Tech) added 12 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Xinjiang Flying Tige. Four Qingdao Double Star and five Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Qingdao Double Star maintains eleventh place with 11-13 record. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Qingdao Double Star's next round opponent will be higher ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (#8) in Taiyuan and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
