Regular Season Round 6: OKK Beograd - Timisoara 75-84

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Serbian OKK Beograd (2-4) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Romanian Timisoara (2-4) 84-75 on Tuesday. OKK Beograd trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 23-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-84 at the end of the game. Timisoara shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was Bosnian point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. Croatian swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87) chipped in 22 points and 5 steals. Four Timisoara players scored in double figures. Timisoara's coach Predrag Badnjarevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Nemanja Bezbradica (205-93, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Mirko Kovac (199-83, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points respectively. Timisoara moved-up to fourth place, which they share with OKK Beograd and Napredak. Timisoara will face league's second-placed Rilski Sportist in Samokov in the next round and it may be the game of the week. OKK Beograd will play on the road against Torus Skopje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
