We should mention about the upset which took place in Changchun, where higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (14-11) lost to twelfth ranked Jilin Tigers (11-13) in a road game 91-99 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Liaoning Hunters. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 8 points. American swingman Cartier Martin (201-84, college: Kansas St.) scored 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jordanian guard Osama Daghles (198-79, college: Midwestern St.) chipped in 15 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Jilin Tigers' coach Han Wang used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Xiaoxu Li (207-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) scored 20 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Liaoning Hunters keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Fujian XX. Jilin Tigers will meet at home league's leader Guandong Tigers in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Liaoning Hunters will have a break next round.
