Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Ottawa: Ottawa (#1) and Carleton (#2). Ottawa (11-2) won against visiting Carleton (8-5) 59-55. Carleton was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 18-13 charge of Ottawa, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Carleton 41-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. Center Hannah Sunley-Paisley (186) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Power forward Jenna Gilbert (183, college: La Salle) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Ottawa's coach Andy Sparks allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Ashleigh Cleary (180-88) answered with 21 points and guard Alyson Bush (170) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Carleton. Ottawa have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Carleton at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Toronto Univ.. Ottawa will play against RMC (#8) in Kingston in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Carleton will play at home against Queen's in Kingston and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
