The game in Solna supposed to be also quite interesting. 7th ranked 08 Stockholm (12-11) played at the court of eighth ranked Solna Vikings (12-11). Solna Vikings smashed 08 Stockholm 102-78 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of 08 Stockholm. The game without a history. Solna Vikings led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to 08 Stockholm's 40 and made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They outrebounded 08 Stockholm 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward William Walker (201-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and Bulgarian center Krum Doychinov (206-86, agency: Interperformances) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Solna Vikings' coach Torbjorn Gehrke felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Icelandic swingman Helgi Magnusson (198-82, college: Catawba) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Solna Vikings have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 08. Solna Vikings will meet KFUM Jamtland (#9) on the road in the next round. 08 Stockholm will play against Uppsala Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
