No shocking result in a game in Ottawa, ON where leader Ravens (14-0) smashed bottom-ranked Golden Gaels (0-13) 96-64 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Ravens. Golden Gaels was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ravens dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Gaels' 18. They outrebounded Golden Gaels 30-13 including a 22-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ravens shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Golden Gaels were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Elliot Thompson (191-89) fired 25 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. International guard Philip Scrubb (194-92) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Ryan Golden (183) produced 17 points and 4 assists and Mackenzie Simpson added 13 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ravens have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Loser Golden Gaels still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Ravens will face RMC (#8) in Kingston, ON in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Golden Gaels will play on the road against the league's second-placed Gee-Gees in Ottawa, ON and hope to get finally their first victory.
