The game in Minsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Rubon (7-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Minsk-2006 II (4-8). Rubon smashed Minsk-2006 II 92-66. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon. Minsk-2006 II was better in second period 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rubon forced 28 Minsk-2006 II turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Dmitri Akulich (192-86) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Forward Dimitri Sivalko (199-85) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Akulich is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Rubon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds (on 17-of-19 shooting from the field) and forward Yaraslau Kurapau (200-91) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rubon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-5 record having four points less than leader Grodno-93. Minsk-2006 II lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
