Regular Season Round 19: St.Mary's - Cape Breton 79-66

There was a minor upset in Halifax, NS where much higher ranked Capers (7-4) were defeated by fourth ranked Huskies (6-6) 79-66 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Huskies. Capers was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Huskies dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Capers' 40. Forward Tory Fassett fired 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Brian Rouse chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Arild Geugjes produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and guard Al Alilovic (198) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Huskies maintains fourth place with 6-6 record. Loser Capers dropped to the third position with four games lost. Huskies will have a break next round. Capers will play on the road against the league's leader X-Men in Antigonish, NS and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
