Regular Season Round 20: CB Canarias - Clinicas Rincon 75-64

LEB Gold top team - Canarias (16-4) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat eighteenth ranked Clinicas Rincon (3-17) in Tenerife 75-64. The game was mostly controlled by Canarias. Clinicas Rincon managed to win second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Canarias won last quarter 24-15. The winners were led by American power forward Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) who scored that evening 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (205-76) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Miguel Lorenzo (205-91) did not help to save the game for Clinicas Rincon. point guard Jose Pozas (181-92) added 9 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canarias maintains first position with 16-4 record. Clinicas Rincon lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Canarias will meet Basquet Mallorca (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Clinicas Rincon will play against UB La Palma (#4) and hope to secure a win.
