Not a big story in a game in Edmonton where 10th ranked Thompson Rivers (5-8) were rolled over by third ranked Alberta (10-3) 74-39 on Friday. The game without a history. Alberta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Thompson Rivers to just 5 points in first quarter. Alberta held Thompson Rivers to an opponent 23.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.0 percent accuracy of the winners and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Alberta outrebounded Thompson Rivers 46-26 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Katie Arbuthnot (178-90) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Saskia Van Ginhoven (185) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest.
