We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bydgoszcz where their biggest opponent Astoria Bydg. (10-4) was defeated by third ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (10-5) 74-70 on Saturday. Astoria Bydg. was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 28-16 charge of Ksiezak Lowicz, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 20 Astoria Bydg. turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ksiezak Lowicz made 11 blocks. Forward Tomasz Nogalski (192-79) fired 19 points for the winners. Guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) chipped in 16 points. Guard Mateusz Bierwagen (194-88) produced 19 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and power forward Sebastian Laydych (203-87) added 22 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side.
