Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked HK Zory and 9th ranked GTK Gliwice had identical 7-8 record. But GTK Gliwice was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Zory 78-69 on Saturday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But GTK Gliwice won third quarter 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. HK Zory forced 23 GTK Gliwice turnovers. The former international forward Miroslaw Frankowski (196-74) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Lukasz Ochodek (195-82) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. HK Zory maintains seventh position in Group B with 8-8 record, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. Loser GTK Gliwice keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. HK Zory will face higher ranked BM Wegiel Stal (#3) in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. GTK Gliwice will play on the road against Nysa Klodzko (#11) in Kloszko and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
