Regular Season Round 13: Ulriken - Gimle 75-83

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Ulriken (9-4) against fourth ranked Gimle (6-7) on Saturday night. Host Ulriken was defeated by Gimle in a tough game in Bergen 75-83. It looked good early as Ulriken took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Gimle took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ulriken's 42. Gimle had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Amber Land (188-85, college: E.Michigan) nailed a double-double by scoring 32 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import guard D'lesha Lloyde (183-86, college: Clemson) accounted for 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Emilie Gronas (168-92) came up with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and guard Stine Hoff Austgulen (177-94) added 27 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Ulriken in the defeat. Gimle maintains fourth place with 6-7 record. Defending champion Ulriken keeps the second position with four games lost. Gimle will play against league's leader Ullern in Oslo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ulriken will have a break next round.
