Regular Season Round 15: LF Future - Akropol 63-76

The game between second ranked LF Future (11-4) and fourth ranked Akropol (11-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. LF Future was defeated by Akropol in Lulea 76-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of LF Future. The game without a history. Akropol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to LF Future's 24. They outrebounded LF Future 48-36 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Richard Hartmann (201-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American guard Corrie Sutherlin (183-81) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Daniel Eliasson (189-92) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Brian Curry (185-86) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akropol have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with defeated LF Future. Akropol is looking forward to face KFUM Uppsala (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LF Future will have a break next round.
