An interesting game for X-Men (9-2) which hosted in Antigonish, NS 3rd ranked Capers (7-5). First ranked X-Men had an easy win 90-71. The game was mostly controlled by X-Men. Capers was better in fourth quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. X-Men forced 27 Capers turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when X-Men made 10 blocks. Guard Terry Thomas (193) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Tyrell Vernon (185-88) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four X-Men players scored in double figures. Guard Al Alilovic (198) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and guard Julien Smith (178) added 8 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Capers. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. X-Men maintains first position with 9-2 record. Loser Capers keep the third place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
