No shocking result in a game when third ranked Tuscany Pistoia (11-5) defeated at home 10th ranked Aget Imola (6-10) 79-73 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aget Imola won third quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tuscany Pistoia made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian swingman Jonathan Tavernari (198-87, college: BYU) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Trent Whiting (185-76, college: BYU) produced 22 points and Finnish power forward Tuukka Kotti (205-81, college: Providence) added 10 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to second place, which they share with Enel Brindisi. Loser Aget Imola dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Tuscany Pistoia will face Enel Brindisi (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aget Imola will play against Sigma Barcellona (#5).
