Regular Season Round 29: Osaka Evessa - Oita H.Devils 82-92

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Osaka Evessa (17-6) against eighth ranked Oita Heat Devils (6-18) on Saturday night. Host Osaka Evessa was defeated by Oita Heat Devils in Osaka 92-82. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Osaka Evessa. The game was mostly controlled by Oita Heat Devils. Osaka Evessa was better in second period 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated also this game. Forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and forward Taj Finger (203-86) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) responded with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Five Oita Heat Devils and four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Oita Heat Devils maintains eighth place with 6-18 record. Osaka Evessa at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with Kyoto Hannar.. Oita Heat Devils will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osaka Evessa will play again at home against Oita Heat Devils and hopes to get back on the winning track.
