There was no surprise in Skierniewice where 10th ranked MKS Skierniew. (5-11) was edged by first ranked Slask II W. (13-3) 62-61 on Saturday. MKS Skierniew. cut a 19-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. Slask II W. forced 23 MKS Skierniew. turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. The former international power forward Miroslaw Lopatka (213-77) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Guard Adrian Mroczek-Truskowski (195-85) chipped in 8 points and 7 assists. Slask II W.'s coach Grzegorz Krzak used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Piotr Czaplicki (198-82) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Krystian Swiech (205-80) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Slask II W. maintains first position in Group B with 13-3 record. MKS Skierniew. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Slask II W. will face Alba Chorzow (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. MKS Skierniew. will play against WKK Obiekty (#5) in Wroclaw.
