Regular Season Round 15: Rivas Ecopolis - Mariana 79-89

The game with biggest difference of round 15 in LF2 was guest Joventud Mariana's (9-6) road victory over 4th placed Rivas Ecopolis (10-5) 89-79 on Saturday evening. Strangely Rivas Ecopolis outrebounded Joventud Mariana 40-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was Senegalese power forward Astou Traore (182-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Paraguayan-Italian swingman Paola Ferrari (178-85, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was international point guard Anna Cruz (173-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Joventud Mariana moved-up to sixth place. Rivas Ecopolis at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Joventud Mariana are looking forward to face higher ranked Argon Uni Girona (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rivas Ecopolis will play against Hondarribia-Irun and is hoping to win this game.
