Regular Season Round 18: Telge - Solna Vikings 57-68

Top ranked Telge (16-2) recorded its second loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Solna Vikings (13-4) 68-57. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Telge. The game was mostly controlled by Solna Vikings. Telge managed to win second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international center Katarina Andersson (191-83) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. American swingman Christy Bacon (182-80, college: Wyoming) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Solna Vikings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Brittney Thomas (179-89, college: Michigan St.) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import swingman LaTangela Atkinson (188-84, college: N.Carolina) added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Solna Vikings maintains third position with 13-4 record having four points less than leader Telge, which they share with Mark Basket. Defending champion Telge still keeps top place with two games lost. Solna Vikings is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Jarfalla (#12) in Stockholm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Telge will have a break next round.
