The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Adelaide Lightning (14-3) on the court of seventh ranked Dandenong Rangers on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Dandenong Rangers 81-61. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Adelaide Lightning. The game without a history. Dandenong Rangers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Dandenong Rangers forced 20 Adelaide Lightning turnovers. International guard Kathleen Macleod (167-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 7 assists. The former international swingman Jenna O'Hea (185-87) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers' coach Mark Wright used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International center Abby Bishop (189-88) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international swingman Joanne Hill (182-73) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Adelaide Lightning. Dandenong Rangers (10-8) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sydney UF and Bendigo S. Adelaide Lightning at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Dandenong Rangers is looking forward to face bottom-ranked AIS (#10) in Belconnen in the next round where they are favorite. Adelaide Lightning will play on the road against Townsville Fire (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
