The game in Tokyo supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Denso Iris (15-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Airlines R. (4-19). Denso Iris did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 71-51. The game without a history. Denso Iris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Denso Iris forced 19 Airlines R. turnovers and outrebounded them 45-23 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Denso Iris players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Forward Tamotsu Huziwara (175-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. International center Maki Takada (183-89) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Denso Iris' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) answered with 17 points and international forward Reika Takahashi (177-88) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Airlines R.The victory was the third consecutive win for Denso Iris. They maintain third place with 15-8 record having five points less than leader JX Sunflowers. Airlines R. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. Denso Iris will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Airlines R. will play again on the road against Denso Iris (#3) in Kariya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
