Seventh ranked Logan Thunder (10-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Sydney Uni Flames (10-8) 71-69 in the game for the fourth place. Sydney Uni Flames were ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 21-16 charge of Logan Thunder, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Sydney Uni Flames outrebounded Logan Thunder 44-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. International center Cayla Francis (192-89) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Corinna Montgomery (188-87, college: Nebraska) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Logan Thunder players scored in double figures. The former international forward Belinda Snell (181-81) responded with 27 points and American forward Amy Denson (186-84, college: Arizona St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Logan Thunder have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Sydney Uni Flames lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Dandenong R. and Bendigo S.. Logan Thunder will play against league's leader Adelaide Lightning at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
