The game in Anjo supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Toyota A. (20-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Aishin Wings (2-22). Toyota A. smashed Aishin Wings 87-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Toyota A. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Aishin Wings' 34. They outrebounded Aishin Wings 42-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Toyota A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Aishin Wings' players. The winners were led by international guard Maya Kawahara (167-87) who scored that evening 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Rina Kawasaki (180-88) supported her with 13 points and 9 assists. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by swingman Saori Ootaka (168-87) did not help to save the game for Aishin Wings. Forward Yuka Maeda (173-84) added 7 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota A. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-4 record behind leader JX Sunflowers. Aishin Wings lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Toyota A. will meet at home Airlines R. (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Aishin Wings will play against Denso Iris in Kariya and hope to secure a win.
