No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Muggia (10-5) edged on the road 13th ranked Borgotaro (3-12) 63-61 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 34-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) who led her team to a victory with 28 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Alice Palliotto (180-86) contributed with 5 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Hungarian swingman Judit Fritz (183-87, college: St.Francis, NY) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Silvia Martini (178-87) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Borgotaro. Newly promoted Muggia maintains fifth place in North with 10-5 record. Loser Borgotaro keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Muggia will face league's leader Meccanica NB in Bologna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Borgotaro will play on the road against Alghero (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
