Regular Season Round 30: Shimane SM - Shinshu BW 81-80

Sixth-ranked Shinshu BW (11-15) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Shimane Magic (15-11) on Sunday. Shimane Magic managed to secure only one-point victory 81-80. However their fans expected easier game. Shinshu BW trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 80-81 at the end of the game. Shimane Magic dominated on the defensive end, holding Shinshu BW to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Shinshu BW 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shimane Magic made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Junpei Nakama (193-83) chipped in 15 points.
