Regular Season Round 15: BC Jyvaskyla - Porvoon Tarmo 87-96

Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Porvoon Tarmo (5-9) beat on the road bottom-ranked BC Jyvaskyla (1-14) 96-87 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 31-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Porvoon Tarmo forced 21 BC Jyvaskyla turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Benzor Simmons (195-88, college: Tenn-Martin) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Shawn Henderson (190-88, college: Idaho) helped adding 17 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Lance Storrs (195-89, college: Georgia Tech) with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Jani Parkkinen (191-87) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four BC Jyvaskyla players scored in double figures. BC Jyvaskyla's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Porvoon Tarmo moved-up to eighth place, which they share with SayRi. BC Jyvaskyla lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Porvoon Tarmo will face league's leader Tapiolan Honka on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Jyvaskyla will play against Oulun NMKY (#6).
