The game in Habikaa was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Maccabi Rishon (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked B.C. Habikaa (6-7). Maccabi Rishon managed to secure a 5-point victory 81-76 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-12. But B.C. Habikaa won second period 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Rishon made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was swingman Joe Crawford (196-86, college: Kentucky, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 29 points. Guard Derwin Kitchen (193-86, college: Florida St., agency: VVG Sports) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Dion Dowell (200-85, college: Houston) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Maccabi Rishon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser B.C. Habikaa dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Maccabi Rishon will meet at home Bnei Hasharon (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. B.C. Habikaa will have a break next round.
