Regular Season Round 15: Srbija - Sanda 80-83 OT

Sanda Basket (3-12) outlasted Srbija (10-5) in overtime by three points 83-80 on Sunday night. The game took place in Malmo. But the guests from Huskvarna were better at the end. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-15 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. Sanda Basket forced 22 Srbija turnovers. Srbija was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Johan Ganstrand (192-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Forward Markus Williams (201-93) helped adding 7 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Sanda Basket's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Finnish guard Rasmus Roslund (192-88) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and FYR Macedonian forward Todorce Petkovski (200-80) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four Srbija players scored in double figures. Sanda Basket moved-up to eleventh place in South. Loser Srbija keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Sanda Basket will face higher ranked Hogsbo (#7) in Goteborg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Srbija will play on the road against Fryshuset in Stockholm.
