Regular Season Round 15: BG Lulea - Akropol 45-77

Date: January 22, 2012
Very predictable result when fourth ranked Akropol (11-4) smashed on the road 12th ranked BG Lulea (1-13) 77-45 on Sunday. The game without a history. Akropol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BG Lulea to just 7 points in first and third quarters. Akropol dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to BG Lulea's 34. Akropol forced 28 BG Lulea turnovers. It was a great evening for center Mickael Jonsson (205-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Richard Hartmann (201-89) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was center Arvid Isaksson (202-93) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Johan Stenberg (189-93) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Akropol. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with LF Future. Loser BG Lulea keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Akropol will face KFUM Uppsala (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BG Lulea will play against the league's leader White Eagles in Stockholm.
