Regular Season Round 30: Fukuoka Rizing - Miyazaki SS 93-91

Seventh-ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (12-16) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (17-9). Fukuoka Rizing managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Miyazaki Shining Suns won fourth quarter 27-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a good game for swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 4 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Center Darryl Dora (206-85, college: Texas Tech) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and forward O'Neal Mims (208-83, college: Angelo St.) added 23 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Miyazaki Shining Suns. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Akita NH and Shiga L-Stars. Miyazaki Shining Suns lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 16 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing's next round opponent will be Osaka Evessa (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day. Miyazaki Shining Suns will play against Shiga L-Stars (#4).
