Very expected game when 10th ranked Arras (6-10) was defeated at home by second ranked Lattes Montpellier (14-3) 80-72 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-72. The former international point guard Edwige Lawson-Wade (166-79) stepped up and scored 18 points and 6 assists for the winners and Croatian swingman Ana Lelas (183-83) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Russian Nadezhda Grishaeva (195-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard Leilani Mitchell (165-85, college: Utah, agency: LBM Management) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Lattes Montpellier have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Arras keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Lattes Montpellier will meet at home Bourges (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Arras will play against Tarbes (#6) and hope to secure a win.
