Regular Season Round 24: Fujitsu RW - Chanson V-M 59-58

Sixth-ranked Chanson V-M (9-15) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Fujitsu RW (15-9) in Kawasaki on Sunday. Fujitsu RW managed to secure only one-point victory 59-58. However their fans expected easier game. It was a good game for international forward Yoko Nagi (175-82) who saved her team from a defeat with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Tika Yamamoto (175-91) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Fujitsu RW's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chanson V-M. Fujitsu RW maintains fourth position with 15-9 record. Chanson V-M at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Mitsubishi K.. Fujitsu RW are looking forward to face league's leader JX Sunflowers in Kashiwa in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Chanson V-M will play at home against Mitsubishi K. (#5) in Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
