Regular Season Round 19: Memorial - Acadia 71-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Acadia's (9-1) road victory over 3rd placed Memorial (6-6) 74-71 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-71. Acadia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Abbey Duinker (188-91) fired 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Stefanie Chapman (157) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Forward Ally Forsey (191-90) produced 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kim Devison (175-89) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Acadia have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Memorial dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Acadia will face Dalhousie (#7) in Halifax in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
